Horse Riding and Sheep Round up in South Iceland

Booking request

This riding tour offers an unforgettable experience in autumn, as riding, tradition and Icelandic culture are combined on this tour in beautiful South Iceland. The traditional sheep round-up dates back to the time when the meadows near the farms were so valuable that they were used exclusively for haymaking. This is why thousands of sheep are taken to the mountains in summer and driven back to the farmers' farms in autumn. The tour leads along the glacial river Thorsja, which offers a unique view of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano.
